Welcome Lesley to the LivingWell team!
Originally from Guelph, Ontario, Lesley moved to Nova Scotia after achieving her Masters degree in Social Work in 2022. She is an experienced Clinical Social Worker and Certified Canadian Addiction Counsellor who specializes in trauma, addiction, and mental health recovery.
Lesley seeks to help her clients navigate life's challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship stress, anger, PTSD and life transitions. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing is possible for everyone. With more than a decade of experience in both inpatient and outpatient treatment, Lesley has worked frequently with first responders, military personnel, and individuals coping with occupational trauma.
Lesley draws from a wide range of evidence based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems, Solution Focused Therapy, and somatic and polyvagal informed practices. She tailors each session to the individual, helping clients build emotional regulation, strengthen resilience, and reconnect with a sense of safety and self trust.
Clients describe Lesley as steady, genuine, and deeply committed to their wellbeing. She offers a grounded presence and a nonjudgmental space where people can explore their experiences, process trauma, and move toward meaningful change.
Lesley strives to maintain work-life balance. She enjoys being part of a community theatre group and singing karaoke. She also enjoys baking, raising chickens, and her three cats.
